Something is bubbling. Power is gathering. Can you feel it?

You know that excited feeling you get the night before a big trip? You've packed, your alarm is set, your backpack's zipped and ready. You can barely sleep, knowing an enormous journey is so close. The hardest part--the preparation--is done, and now you can enjoy the pure excitement of the journey's first step.

You're about to embark upon something big. Maybe it's literal travel, maybe it's a new creative project. Whatever it is, I have good news for you: you're ready. We spend so much time dreaming and thinking up plans, and sometimes it can be hard to actually put them into action. And it's true that you do need to hang out in the planning stages, the gathering-power stages, before you implement the plan itself. But the time has now come to implement, and that is great news. Often, we just need to remind ourselves that we have the power to begin!

Kate and I dream up TONS of big ideas for Shapes We Make (and ideas for crazy businesses, like a cat bagel cafe. Don't ask). And I can definitely feel us putting our bubbling energy into manifesting these big ideas now (not the cat cafe so much as the SWM stuff). I have all kinds of dreamy plans for my next steps in life (grad school, yoga certification, oh my!), and I spend a lot of time in preparation, sometimes having difficulty actually implementing. This card reminds me that all the time I've spent gathering power has been useful, and necessary, but now it's time to put that power to use. You can gather power all your life, preparing and preparing, but what are you actually going to make with it?

Don't worry. This card is predicting that taking these first steps won't be arduous or daunting. In fact, it'll be easy and exhilarating. Because you have been gathering so much power, and that power will propel you forward. So don't sell yourself short. See what you're capable of-- I guarantee it's more than you think.

This is a great week for: challenging yourself. Do you usually run three miles? Try four. Do you want to read one chapter of your book? Try reading two. Have you been eyeing a daunting application? Start writing it. You'll surprise yourself with what you have the energy to accomplish. And the high you get from surprising yourself will propel you even further. Enjoy witnessing the amazing things you're capable of! Just like the woman on the card, you are standing at the threshold of your journey, and the three of staves promises you one thing: you're ready.

Happy journeying, goddesses! xo
