Evening, lovelies. I don't know about where you are, but here in New York it's finally beginning to feel like winter… the days are short and growing colder, and December is just around the corner. The end of another calendar year provides ample opportunity for reflection, renewal, and rebirth… I know we're not quite there yet, but it may be a good time now to start planting some seeds for the future.

With that in mind, it was encouraging to draw the Prince of Pentacles as this week's card. The suit of Pentacles is all about the material realm-- the actual, physical, tangible aspects of our lives. The Pentacles are represented by the image of coins, so what immediately comes to mind for me is money and material wealth-- but they don't necessarily always mean money. It may instead apply to your living situation, your possessions, your body; anything that's part of your material existence.

On this card, we see a young prince dressed in decadent riches, holding a large coin. He's young, seemingly in a situation of beauty and abundance. This bodes very well for us. The card conveys an optimism about your material future: your business, education, or monetary life. It's a prediction of new business ideas and ventures, as well as an influx of communication (and possibly money). The Prince of Pentacles is looking forward to a bright future of hard work and reaping the subsequent rewards.

This week, be open to new business/educational/creative ideas. You may find more of these ideas coming to you, more rapidly than usual; I'd advise carrying a notebook and pen, and writing them down as they come. You never know what idea will flourish into the material abundance that the Prince promises. We're in fertile ground now to turn ideas into successes. It's a good time to plan future ventures; this may involve reaching out to potential collaborators. If you plant these seeds of collaboration now, when the new year arrives you will already have some blossoms growing under the soil.

This card also advises practicality. The abundance we desire is not going to manifest itself; we must do the planting, the tending, the harvesting. It's a great time for practical planning. When we look toward the future with both the Prince's optimism AND his practicality, then we are truly on our way to riches (in many senses of the word).

Questions for this week: What are your business/creative goals? What do you want to manifest in your material life? Do you have career goals you want to pursue? If so-- how can you begin the planning process? Who can you reach out to? Even if it feels like a long shot, it's a great time to network and communicate with others. Who can you open communication with? Come next year, what seeds do you want to have planted already? It's a great time to make a timeline for these goals. When you put a practical plan in place, and implement it step-by-step, you will manifest the Prince's abundance.

Happy goal-setting and seed-planting, goddesses! xo
